Hey Everyone, Just wanted to let you all know that I found a 30 pack (3x10pack) bundle for sale at Sam's Club for $70.
Looking around, it seems like a good deal!
Good luck.

I agree on the price of those Verbatim DL's you can get them cheaper on sale, Sam's Club does not always have the best price on media you have to watch them.

59.86 would be the right price for 30 Verb DL's.

If you can handle rebates, 10 pack Verbatim DVD+ DL is $19.99 (after $10 rebate) at SuperMediaStore.com. Shipping is free too.

It seems that Sam's club only carries MIT Media except for Maxell (MIJ) CD's for music. I did buy some of these.

Yes, two different rebates (PITA) and they both want the original sales receipt. How do you do that?

Thanks for the replies everyone.
You're right hartbarj, I had the wrong price in my head. I went back and bought some earlier today.
Is that supermediastore.com a good site? I mean to buy from? Anyone have any problems with them?

Yes, supermediastore is top notch. Pretty much everyone recommends them and I've been buying from them for several years now. And they take back anything you want to send back if you're not satisfied.

Always had great experiences with supermediastore. And the last I checked, the Verb DL's had 2 rebates, making them $13.99!!! Finally the DL's are coming down in price!!!

Figures, I ordered those Verbatim DL's before the second rebate kicked in. :( Oh well, for great media it's a bargain even at $19.99.

Okay I gave in and ordered them. I'd been waiting for them to go on sale for a while but figured if I just got the $10 rebate it would be less than the sale price since there is no tax. If I get the $6 rebate, than that's just icing on the cake.

Thanks for the heads up on that one jpcm. I bought 2 packs of those. Well, technically I ordered one and my sister ordered one. So I could get the rebates on both.
Plus, supermediastore.com was great to buy from! They kept me updated on the progress of my orders and they arrived in 2 days! I found my new source!
Thanks again!

BTW... Very nice hardware elusiv1!!!I'm jealous!

Thanks batchef, this has to last me another 2 years or more before I upgrade again. I wish they would slow down with the video card situation for a while, they are going way to fast for my wallet!!

I wonder when the prices on DL dvd's will drop more. The avg. price is around $2 atm...would be awesome if they went under $1 :) Why not just sell them for twice the price of an ordinary DVD+R?

Price reflects difficulty of manufacturing, quality control, cost of materials, so I imagine that producing recordable dual layer media is still rather costly compared to single layer media, which has been around a bit longer, and has probably undergone many more cost-reducing optimizations than DL media. Eventually, I'm sure it will become cheaper as this newer media undergoes similar optimizations.
