Nero Recode 2 Failed to seek...

Can anyone help with this problem in Recode 2? I have programmes on my SKY+ hard disk which I am trying to archive. I want to put a number of kids programs onto one disk, for my son to watch on a portable player in the car. I am using a Sony RDR-GX210 DVD recorder with PHILIPS 1-4X DVD+RW disks. It records the programs fine, and I can play them on my computer (I haven't tried on the portable player yet), but if I try and import them into Nero Recode 2, after a short period (about 5% complete on long programmes and 34% on short) I get the message:

"Nero Recode 2 encountered an error and cannot continue.

Failed to seek within the file VTS_01_1.VOB."

This happens whether I start from the disk or copy the files to HD first. Can any one help with this, or, is there a better way to do it?

Post a log please...BTW, Philips media are terrible. But your failure seems to be during the transcoding process.

Thanks for your reply. I think I might go for an uninstall and reinstall as it won't even replicate teh error any more. Every time I try it fails somewhere else. And I guess I'll get some new disks.

Post a log and we'll take a look at it.
