I am having trouble deciding which media to buy:
they say genuine ty's: Manufacturer: Taiyo Yuden
Manufacturer Part#: DVD-R47ZZSB8
for about 42.00 including shipping (2 cake boxes of 50)
or
optodisc for 32.00 including shipping. (no part #)
both are 8x dvd-r;
could someone tell me if those are genuine ty's? And I have never heard of optodisc so if anyone knows about them please reply also.

whilst i can't vouch for those TY being genuine or not, there's no competition between optodisc (ugh!) and TY, just wait for someone to come along who can verify if they're genuine or not, or buy TY from somewhere reputable. what site is that ?, i'm assuming you're in the US

I think that even fake TYs would be better than Optodisc ... and If you want to know if the TYs you mentioned are genuine, you need to provide more information ... Where are you purchasing them from? Give us a link or something ...

but the best deal right now i think its still the
supermedia.com even though they kinda ship my
TY damaged but according to guys in this forum that
doesnt happen very often. you can take the chance on the
300 4x DVD-R for 77.99 shipped.

and somebody mentioned they actually ship out the 8x because of the
4x being phase out. But dont quote me on that its not gurantee.
They have the 200 8x DVD-R for 67.99 also shipped

yer, stay away from media off eBay, it's too easy to get scammed that way.
