UMD Emulator not working

i put UMD Emulator V0.8C...it hangs after selecting an ISO game...

do you have an idea how to fix this? thanks!

What is the backup iso you are trying to load?

i'm loading Need for Speed Rivals and also spiderman 2

yes my psp is 1.5

does UMD emulator works without having UMD inserted?

no way, youll need a umd in there any umd and those backups should work fine,
This is what you could try if you dun have a umd even the demo one will work.

GEt devhook http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/91
and install it
Now go to UMD emulator you have installed already and look for an option called "ISO emulation Mode" change it with Dpad <-- --> set it to SYstem menu now start the backup.

It should take you back to your PSP menu now start devhook and go to Load UMD Disc inserted or sumthing like that.

Nope ive never even tried that method myself, only been told by peeps. Ill try it right now

yea same here, since i've had a umd i've never felt the need to get devhook, and as i understand it doesnt work with all isos

I just tried it with NFSUR and when i took my UMD out and used the devhook with UMD emu , it did not work. When i put the UMD in it did work.
I come to the conclusion UMD emulator cannot function without a UMD

Any UMD, maybe it just clicks a little nob that says theres a UMD in there if anyone wants to be risky maybe should try this, find a little nob that part in umd tray, most devices use this method to tell whether theres a disc inside.
