My brother just bought an xbox, Naturually the 1st thing He wants to do is mod it. we are thinking about getting this 'DUOX2' modchip. It already has cromwell v2.32 on bank zero and 3.0.3 and bank one. So after buying/installing this we should be good to right?

Well, We don't want to spend A whole lot of money and the DUOX2 was only $17.00 + Shipping. So it seems like A good deal.

Is the X3 really all that better than the DUOX2? as froogle as We are we don't want to be bassicaly soldiering feces onto the xbox... I don't really know A whole lot about xbox mod-chips.

i just got a duo x2. if you just wanna back up games then duo x 2 is fine. it was 20 bucks i think. I got mine from germany, it is flashed with bios (illegal in us). check out console.com

Well, chip is chip. when xbox is modded, and they work all the same. So doesnot matter which chip you have.

If you know nothing about modding xbox or you are totally newbie, then you should buy X3. Because it is easier to install with solderless adapter. It is easier to flash bios. And it also has more features, options. That is all.

But if you know about modchip, flash bios, then you should buy a cheapest one. Who care about options. Xbox works the same.

even if you get the solderless chip you may have to desolder the lpc and from what i've heard solder the bt and do points. Also if you buy a chip flashed with an updated bios then you dont have to do any flashing just solder in and install evox. I think you still gotta flash the cromwells with updated bios.
