This might sound weird, but there is no DNS in mine.

if any one can helped me i would be glad
i got the dns error thing and so i tried to find my primary dns by doing the thing u said but i got this
configuration for interface " wireless network connection"
DNS servers configured through dhcp: none
register with wich suffix: primary only
i really dont no what that means but i will be willling to try anything

my default gate is 80.195.18.1 (is this right) because when i put that in internet connection doesnt pass the test but when i use another one like 192.168.0.1 connection passes but i get DNS error?? hmmm any ideas ive read all of these and nothing has changed.
[Edit]- I dont pass the connection test now watever i do :S dunno wats going on.

Ok. I have a dlink wireless router, evrytime i connect my
modem to my router it says im getting signal and evrything but my "network magic" program (came with my router) says my modem is not connected. But wen i use cable to connect directly from my modem to my laptop, it works great, thats why I was able to post this. Anyways, wen I tried going on msn, theres this troubleshoot thing that comes up coz i cant connect also troubleshoot tells me whats wong with my connection it says dns error, i have no idea how to change my dns, but i know a bit in my router configuration, just a lil' bit. Im a real noob when it comes with my router,and ya my psp cant connect -.- . pls help me :(

hi, you seem to have the answer to most questions asked on here, so i was wondering if you had one for mine..
I have 2 comps in my house, one wich is hardwired and one wich is wirlessly connected. the one that is hardwired has no porblems, however the wirlessly connected comp has a full connection, that states that it has avery good connection, that my dlink program is up and running leaving me to believe that it is actually connected and should be able to connnect to ie. but when i go to use a program such as ie, or aim, or anything else that needs to connect to the interenet to run they all either say, cannot display webpage, or connect error occured, my xbox live wich is wirless is also not able to connect now, and says it the diagnostics test that it has a problem with the dns, i called my isp, and they said is seems to be fine and we will have to contact d link and try to find out how to open its properties to find out the problem, wich we cannot do. i have tried everything i could think of and nothing seems to help. if you know my problem and how to fix it i would really appriciate it,, thank you.

Dude gratz but how did you do it?
i am having the same problems though but i try connecting throug my ps3 that is connected with a wired internet connection...
Some help would be nice ;)

Hi I first posted this when 2.80 came out and looked everywhere for a fix but unfortunately there isnt one the best advice I can give is box it up put it on ebay and buy a router one that you can get help setting up from the seller.

Howdy... Look I'm Having pretty much the same trouble:
I've tried to share dial-up over my network. I Recon the Computer is good, just on the router page, it says " Internet Status: No Connection ". On the PSP, connection tests are ok until it tries to connect. it's fine with IP, DNS, etc. but when it connects, it can't... Can anyone help me? It would be greatly apreciated...

i have a problem kinda like that. my router is a d-link. i had 2 in put the ip adress and all that stuff my self cause of security. then i go 2 internet brows and i get on this adress page. i go 2 file enter adress then a website and press start. it loads 4 a while then says Communication with the server failed. A DNS error has occurred. (8041040F). i have had my psp for like a year and still can not get on line in my house. this problem only accures at my house. plese help me

I'm having a problem getting onto the internet, I'm getting a "DNS server error".
I have a router, and I am connecting wireless.
In settings I set the IP address to automatic, and I manually enter both the primary and secondary IP address.
I am still getting a DNS error...can anyone help me??

hi
I run a linksys wireless connection,
and I have entered everyting in manually for the internet requirements on the psp, but i stilll get the same error over and over when I try to connect to the internet, and if neone can help me out here,that would be very much appreciated
