They said it was going to be easy to burn my minidvs to dvd and it has been a nightmare, i have a ton of software that i already use to backup and burn dual layer. I have the file converted to mpeg2 now but cant seem to get it to work on my dvd player, i have tried many different ways and keep wasting dvds. I even tried converting to iso. Ive tried about 4 different software programs, what is the best way to do this? I have been editing with pinnacle and converting to mpeg2 with it also, just need a program to burn a readable dvd.

the mpeg file what is it ?

mpeg1,2 3,4

it needs to be converted to mpeg2 before Nero will recognize it as a file been in the dvd movie format so that it will burn it to disc.

Ypou mention vso, as they have a few products, which one were you using?

what exactly does the reauthor and or recode do? should i just do it this way from the beginning when the file is AVI and skip the conversion to mpeg2?

if you dont convert it to mpeg2, you have 2 choices

1.burn it to disc and watch it on your pc

2.get a DivX player than will play the raw file with out conversion
