I have been trying to copy a dvd and it won't read the DVD+R. It's a Verbatium DVD+R and I even tried a memorex dvd+r and it still won't work. Could someone help me with this?

To be able to help we need to know exactly what you are trying to do and what programs you are using. Are you trying to back up a DVD, more info please. What is the DVD you want to copy.

Yes I am trying to back up a dvd. The movie is saw 2.

First thing you are going to need is aprog to break any copy protection on the movie.
I would recommend you download a prog named AnyDVD which is available for a 21 day free trial, from slysoft site.
Once downloaded have it running while you are backing up the DVD, you can back it up using Nero Recode if you have it.

Please do NOT use the memorex discs you mentioned you have, they are absolute CRAP and will cause burn failures.

I installed AnyDVD and tried it again and it still won't read the disc. I have no clue.

I would suggest you dispose of your memorex discs, they are the worst possible disc you can buy.
They are made by CMC Mag and the inconsistency in their production causes untold problems. I would recommend Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden or Sony which are made in japan.

How long since you updated your burner firmware?

What programs are you using?

But I tried Verbatim and those wouldn't work either.

I updated my firmware about a week ago.

I use 1 click dvd copy, dvdsanta.
