Try playing an original DVD (not a copy) with the burner, if the burner will not recognize and therefore not play the DVD, then I would suspect that the burner maybe defective.

brejaydon,
Welcome to the forum. When you installed Nero did you install INCD. If so uninstall Nero, go to Nero's site and d/l Nero cleantools and then use that after the uninstall to remove Nero completely off your computer. Re-boot and try the burn w/o Nero use DVDDecrypter. If that is sucessful the re-install Nero but do not install INCD.

You might also d/l a free registry cleaner and clean the registry of any conflicts as that can sometimes cause re-boots.

Take the side of the computer off- Ground yourself after unplugging the computer and make sure all of the cables, ram are seated properly. You can use Compressed air to lightly blow off the dust.

You also might make sure all of the fans inside of the computer are operating properly as heat will cause a computer to re-boot

Burning is very cpu intensive, so you may be experiencing overheating issues when you burn. Take the side cover off of the computer and blow out all of the dust bunnies that have collected on the cup and fans.

I had to do this, and now do it regularily. It's a PIA, but my system does not overheat anymore. Sometimes I even put a fan in front of the computer to assist with heat dissipation.

Cheers.
