I have the downgrade already to copy over to my 2.0 PSP. Once the files are in place can I leave them on there or do I have to delete them?

I'll explain what I want to do.

The demo disk provided has the 2.0 update so if I copy then install the files to downgrade and leave them on, When I want to switch back to 2.0 can I install the update from the UMD and the files for the 1.5 will stay where they are or does it over write the 1.5 files so I have to copy them across again?

Your installing 2.0 from the umd so that has nothing to do with the memory stick, when u wanna upgrade put the demo in, when you wanna downgrade put ur memory stick in with the mph downgrader....
when ever u wanna downgrade just put the downgrader on the memory stick, or do it like i do i use 2 memory sticks, 1gb and 32mb i dont use the 32 mb so i keep the downgrader on that ready to downgrade. After u downgraded u can delete the files off the memory stick which means u have to copy them over again next time.

for safety reasons, id keep the downgrade on a 32MB stick so you dont end up doing something mistakingly, or having someone else do it.

Can you play new original UMD games (that require 2.0+) on a 1.5?

Yep using mph game loader, run it and bam! 2.0 game on 1.5!
Put the MPHGameLoader folder into the root of ur memory stick, and copy the two folders MPHGAMELOADER% and MPHGAMELOADER to psp>game.
Certain games dont work, heres the compatabilty list: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/308604

That list is for ISO's only, I'm talking about original UMD's that require 2.0+ working on the 1.5.
Does the MPH allow the UMD disc games work with 1.5?

Yes u can load umd 2.0 games on 1.5 with the mph game loader, http://www.maxconsole.net/forum/showthread.php?t=16536
But if its an old umd then u can use wab version changer or pspset to trick ur psp into thinking its a higher firmware e.g 2.0
