Taiyo Yuden 100 pack...no spindle?

I just received a 100 pack of Taiyo Yuden 4x DVD-R from Supermediastore.com and they were just shrink wrapped, not on a spindle. Not a big deal since I have extra spindles at hom, just thought it was kind of weird.

That's no biggie. A lot of the tys that that store/meritline.com/and rima may just be shrink wrapped.

Where they shiny thermal printables? No writing on the top?

My first order of Ty-g01 media was that way-shiny thermals that I accidentally ordered instead of inkjet printable- DOH!.

I did look at all of them on the bottom side before I burned them. A couple had scratches about a quarter inch from the outer edge. I made sure I only put small movies on them so the burn didn't reach the area of the scratches. All 100 burned ok. That's a highly recommended site for genuine taiyo yuden media.

Yeah like I said it's fine, I've just never seen that before. They were the silver shiny top, but so far they work frickin great. My backup of Call of Duty 2 has never worked on any media, including Imation, Verbatim, Philips. So I've just had the ISO stored on my computer for a month or two, waiting for these TYs. Sure enough, the game loads quick as I can snap, all the videos play flawlessly. Couldn't be more pleased. This is my first ever batch of TYs by the way. I highly recommend. The rumors are true, these seem to be the best.

I only use TYs and I also buy from Supermediastore.com! It's common that those babies come in shrink wrap. It's the best media out there, my opinion!

Yes It is Bought some of the 4 X DVD-R's Taiyo Yudens silver/shiny /thermals & came shrink wrapped as well ! Had'nt gotten to them yet but will & Although I think your disc a protected a little more with Spindles /cake tubs I'm not really bothered by the shrink wrap especially if it's done tight & right. And like you all I have empty spindles to put them in & did just that after checking the underside of all the disc 1st of course!I believe Ritek Also does the shrink wrap thing atleast with some of there media Though I confess that never bought any Riteks online - so far only under OFFICEDEPOT or maxell Name & good luck with them . I think the 4X stuff will be around a little longer perhaps not in the thermals /shiny's but as White inkjets starting to show up online . The thing that will drive sales is either someone buying big bulk quantities & or a Price that is lesser than or atleast equal to what one could get locally ie: MIJ Sony's for example . Also you have to factor in shipping unless it's free & that's what normally eat's everyones online lunch! in a situation such as this . Hope I learned something LOL! ( no really!) I always do thanx & happy shopping!
