Hi

I have noticed that if I have Nero Vision use AUTOMATIC for writing to DVD, my movie (which is from video camera, PAL interlaced format) is Interlaced whereas my slideshows (on the same DVD) are set to PROGRESSIVE.

Should I make my movie PROGRESSIVE (i.e. non interlaced as well)?

Notes: I do have a PROGRESSIVE DVD player.
I do NOT have a high definition TV.
I wish to send some of my DVDs to friends and they may or may not have PROGRESSIVE DVD players.

I assume that Interlaced movies are best for non high definition TVs (i.e. interlaced TVs) ?

Using Nero Vision I have rendered my interlaced source video as progressive-structured MPEG2 as well as interlaced MPEG2.
The resultant 2 file sizes are about the same, since the frame sequences are stored, rather than store the whole frame again.

However can Nero create MPEG2 files which contain both interlaced and Progressive frames in the same file. e.g. use interlaced mega blocks for moving parts of the footage and progressive mega block for static parts?

If I use Progressive DVD format when burning a DVD with Nero vision does this mean that some DVD players will not be able to play it?

Could someone please reply because I confused what to use?

Hoping someone will share what they know on this matter.

Thank you.
