Burning Video Files (newbie here)

ok help out here guys, i want to burn several videos files (3 files one is .avi, the other is a .mpg and the last one a .wmv) to a blank cd so i can play it with my dvd player, is there a specific way to burn this files with Nero?, cause i just burned them as a data file disc and my dvd player wont play it. help please!

if you have the full Nero suite choose make SVCD or make VCD in Nero vision
for freeware
to make a VCD (your stand alone dvd player may not support it check your specs)
use vcdgear the download and guide are on my page follow the link in my sig you can use Nero to burn the resulting bin/cue file
To make a dvd if you have a dvd burner
load the files ito here

Old Freeware Version Of Divxtodvd
http://freedownload.softonic.de/windows/vsoDivxToDVD_setup_0.52.99.exe
if you like it you can buy the new updated version from VSO

convert the resulting files into an iso with dvd shrink
and burn the iso with DVD Decrypter or nero
