I am having trouble backing up older DVDs such as Willy Wonka and LeDivorce with Shrink. I decrypt using DVDFab Decrypter. When I go to run Shrink 3.2 with Willy Wonka I get the following error:

Invalid data in file "...\VIDEO_TS\VTS_02_1.VOB"

With Le Divorce I get the following error:

Invalid data in file "...\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_5.VOB"

I then ran the entire VIDEO_TS files through VOB Blanker. When I then tried to open with Shrink it gave another error.

Usually after running through VOB Blanker I don't have a problem. Are there specific files I should be running through VOB Blanker rather than everything? Any help would be appreciated! I've burned many movies using this same process and this is the first time I have been unable to figure out the problem.

I went back using VOB Blanker and I blanked out specifically VTS_02_1 with Willy Wonka and it then worked fine with Shrink.

I am still having difficulty with LeDivorce because VTS_01_5 seems to be part of the main movie and if I blank it out with VOB Blanker it seems like I will lose that part of the movie. Any ideas on how to fix this one and keep the entire movie intact?

you may have a bad/scrathed dvd try another one or use Intervideo DVDCopy 4 to read though it

Ok...so I tried blanking out what I thought is the VTS_01_5.VOB section with VOB Blanker by expanding (double clicking) the PGC 01 entry for VTS_01.VOB and then choosing to blank out cell 5 (of a total of 34 cells). I then had Blanker process VIDEO_TS.VOB and VTS_01*.VOB and skip VTS_02 through 4. When Blanker was done I loaded the new file back into Shrink but now Shrink gives me an error with VTS_01_4.VOB. I must not be approaching this the right way. Any guidance would be appreciated...

The movie plays fine from my hard drive. If the disk was scratched I would have trouble playing the decrypted movie from my hard drive wouldn't I?
