I have downloaded a number of .ts files in 1080i format. I would like to keep these files but would like to reduce the filesize. My thoughts are that since my LCD TV's maximum resolution is 1366X720 that it will downscale anything to 720p, so if I did it I would not loose any quality while reducing the filesize.
Does this make sense? and How do I do it?
Or would I be better converting to a HD format of XVID (If they exist!)?
