Hi! I just bought Canon Pixma 4200 and tried print on printable dvd-r. But the picture i got was very very light, almost invisible with some small areas close to the edge which was printed properly.
I am using Maxell DVD-R 4.7GB Shiny White Printable from Play.com. They printable surface is looks like semi gloss. Could it be wrong dvd, because it says shiny and what sort of dvd shall I use then. I saw one on the play.com Sony DVD-R Printable 50pk - Inkjet and it does not says it shiny or something. Will they gonna be okey?
Or perhaps anyone now high quality dvd-r I can use?
Thanks a lot. Any help appreciated.

I asked because those maxell dvds you have are thermal printable.Thats probably the reason.
