Hi Guys,

Well, I just had an idea and I'd like to see who might be interested. I plan on purchasing the Primera Disc Laminator later this year after I save up the money. It costs alot of money, but I've seen it in action and it can't be beat for making your inkjet disc look professional. The idea I had to recoup some of the cost was to offer my services to other members here. I thought of offering a laminating service for people who want to protect their dvds from liquid, smudges, and other stuff. I'd do 100-150 DVDS for $20-$25 for people. Below is a link to see this machine in action.

I know alot of people on here use Patricia Nomack's and other sprays to coat their discs, and I do as well. I use Krylon fixative myself.
I tell you though, seeing a CANCER warning on the can makes you think. Is it worth the risk? That's one of the reaons I want this machine. I'd like those who'd like their collection permanently preotected to let me know. I'm not out to gouge anybody, I'd just want to recoup some of the cost for the machine. The laminate rolls are about $55 (good enough for 2000 discs). Thanks Guys! Let me know if you're interested.

I would pay you to do mine, well depending on where you live, where are you? Those things are expensive. That's sweet that you can do like 200 in an hour with that attachment thing.

Hi,
I'm in North Carolina. Yeah this machine is awesome! This is a dream of mine, so it may take awhile to get that kind of $$$ together. I just thought that doing this would help me recoup the cost. Anybody else interested in this service? Think of it...100 of your dvds protected forever!

Thanks,
Keith

To answer your question...Yes I would pay that, but you can get it for $2000 on some sites. You have to see the qaulity of the disc once it's laminated to appreciate it. I'm sending some off to Primera to have this done. I actually put a disc under running water and it does not smudge, smear, etc. It adds a nice glossy sheen to whatever you print. It enhances your inkjet printed discs and makes them look professional. Best thing about it...no cancer!
