I just bought a radeon 9800 pro graphic card, not the best but it should work fine with alot of games, the problem is:

When i play alot of games lagg, and its not that I play on the "High quality" settings, it laggs even when i put on "Low quality", still, its not even that demanding games... So my question:

Where do i check my computers performence to see what the prob is, and if you know where to look, please tell me what to look after, how high the performance and what i need to buy for my games to work smoother.

Thank you!

go to start -> right click on my computer -> properties
and pleae tell me how much ram you got, how fast the processr is (eg. 3.2ghz),
and how much space on your harddisk.

becasue these are the main things you need to see if your computer is running fast enaf and if it is good enaf for your computer and your game

are the game big or small??

and pess crl+alt and delete -> processes tab
it should tell you what program are running on your computer IF you know
any programs or processes that are running that u don't need highlight and click on 'end process'

128mb and 256mb ram is good for most old and some new games but for new games with high graphics recommeded is 512mb of ram, but is you want to best agming experince 1gb of ram is perfect.

You could try down loading the latest grafix card drivers for your card and making sure you have the latest version of direct X installed.

radeon driver @ http://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=kn...

direct @ http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.mspx

Hope this helps
