plz help, I need to know if I have to buy a new ps2!!

Hi, my playstation 2 is an old one, v3 if I remember correctly, and I have some problem now... I can't sart any games, I mean, once the game is started, there's no problem, it play perfectly, no bug, no skip... but I start... sometimes. I mean, my originals don't start ( or rarely ) and my swap magic dvd start after a LOT of try... and sometimes don't start at all. No read errors, the game start, then go to PS2 letters, and then it freeze on black screen or go into the memory card menu with the dvd here, but if I click on it, the same thing occur.

I tryed cleaning with compressed air, and tryed horzontal and vertical |_ but nothing seems to work now, before this my ps2 could read the games, but after a while. Like I could see the "browser, options" options for like 15seconds before the game actually started. But now they don't start anymore.

Do I have to buy a new ps2? or is it just the laser alignment? or the laser is broken?

mmm, maybe it's it.. I'll try this... but I don't get read errors, I mean, the ps2 have problems starting the game, like the ps2 find the game and show it in the browser ( after some time ) but when I click on it, the game doesn't start, like I see the "Playstation 2" logo, and after that my ps2 make me see the browser screen once again, eternally lol. anyway, thx for your information, I'll try this! but if anyway had the same problem or know something, tell me! =D
