Now I've been rather confused i've read in some parts that you need the slide card, but is it actually 100% necessary. See I haven't gotten my Swap Magic yet so i don't know much about it, but won't i be able to eject the swap magic when it asks for me to inser the disc, or not? Do i have to use the Slide Card or can it be done just be pressing eject?

If you eject it, then it will say 'not a valid ps2 disc'. You can't eject AT ALL.

If you can make an exact duplicate then yeah it would work, technically. It's only like 15 bucks or less so why go through the hassle.

If you bought the swap magic discs, they should have given you a slide card, or magic keys depending on what version you have. Slide card for the chubby PS2, and magic keys for the Slim. Your can make your own swap magic slide card. Search on google for swap magic card schematics or swap magic card measurements. Your best bet is to cu it out of a credit card(tough plastic). Or you can cut it out of metal though i would not recommend it because to put the card into the ps2 and slide it over it needs to be almost paper thin. Also read the instructions given to you by the swap magic discs. There is a pamplet inside that tells you you only need to take off the front part of the cd tray.

Well unfortunately for me i was using a a gift card with only 25 dollars, and the closest i found came together with tax for 25 dollars, and 55 cents. SO i had no choice but to purchase just the swap magic, since they apparently don't come together.

So now i either need to make one or find a cheap one and hope my dad will let me use his credit card.

use and eyeglass repair kit screwdriver. Those are the only ones that i found to be that small. Also the Swap magic discs and the slide card for me together was $5. Also if the place you went to sells the discs it should sell the slide card. Ask them or call them for a price on just the slide card or make your own(credit card).
