how you know what your laser have?
I mean, I know I got a laser problem, but I don't know if it's broke, or only disaligned... I never have disk read errors messages, but it takes a while before my ps2 "see" the disc, and after this, when I start it up ( my swap magic ) I see the "playstation 2" screen, and after it just freeze on the black screen or just come back to the ps2 browser!

someone know how to make the differance between broken and disaligned? thx for your help!

it's plain as day to me that if it loads swap magic and sometimes boots to the PS2 splash screen it's NOT broken. it Could be as simple as the lens needs cleaning.

The laser is NOT broken if your ps2 reads the disk
