Hello, I've been able to successfully back up all of my DVD games including Flatout, King Kong, Gun, Ratchet...etc. However, I tried to back-up a CD based game and ran into a problem. I put my Swap Magic 3.6 CD loader into my PS2...and nothing happened. When I went to the browser to see if it would load, a message came up reading "Disc read error". So, if anyone has any suggestions and can help me, please do. \

A lot of people have problems with the CD version loading. If the discs are fairly new, I'd contact the manufacturer and get a replacement.

Otherwise, you could convert the CD game to a DVD and use the DVD version to load it. Here is a guide on how to do that: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/197953

This is more like the successful rate of makign swap disc cd is like 50/50. I bought 2 swap magic 3.6, 1 of the cd works, the other doesn't. I don't even bother calling the guy b/c I know the replacement might just as well don't work. My old swap magic cd 2.0, if i retry inserting the cd many times, it will eventually work, may be u can do the same for your 3.6 cd.

yea my 3.6 CD wouldnt get recognized by my ps2 but i tried over and over a few times and it eventually started working.

keep trying it maybe?

A piece of soft cloth with alcohol helped me with the same problem.
Try clean the laser lenses with it, you have nothing to lose.
