hello,

you are sort of right...TMPGEnc dvd author only accepts mpegs

if you want to use TMPGEnc to convert the avi's,you can,but then must them load them both into TMPGEnc dvd author (different app) after to create the video ts folder which you can burn with TMPGEnc dvd author.

i would recommend you using convertXtodvd instead though
with this app,you can load in both avi file's,they will be converted/joined/burned in 1 process...very easy

hope this helps
cheers!

I known a AVI to DVD Converter can do it, but have no experience.
What's more, it provides so many brilliant DVD menus to burn AVI to DVD, supports DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW and DVD+RW, adjustable multiple Bitrate and Frame Rate allows you get best quality video with TV screen. AVI to DVD conversion becomes so easy and fast, just one click to burn DVD!

hello,

you would have to shink it afterwards!!

avi2dvd is a good product ,being its free!,but you need a good encoding engine to go with it like CCE !
i am not sure it has the option of setting a target size for DVD-5,unlike convertXtodvd??

hope this helps

cheers!!
