#6 shot works good on the varmints, less chance of ricochet with smaller projectiles, .33 diameter lead balls have a habit of bouncing off concrete and wood. Just remember to wear hearing protection in that basement of yours. Perhaps a respirator as well, fur will fly when you start pulling the trigger. Years ago we had a problem with wild cats roaming loose in northern NY state. They would look at you and decide that your face looked better as a scratching post. Still have my Mossberg 500 12 Ga, the cats are long since gone. Of course now my Dad complains about all of the friggin' squirrels eating anything in sight, and nesting in attics eating insulation and siding. Just my 2 cents worth.

Actually I was only kidding about the Double XX buckshot. It's overkill much as a hand grenade would be. Up close for small critters the birdshot is effective. There's more humane ways of dealing with the problem. First I'd call local animal control, if there is one. If nothing is done, then I'd take matters into my own hands. Cage trapping and delivering to animal control would be one solution. Then there's always shootem up as a last resort. Keep in mind the mortal coil and cats have nine lives. That's a lot of shooting. It would sound like world war 4.

@brobear...I did call animal control actually...just joking about the arsenal. Hell, maybe they can finally put those outrageous taxes to use. I'm sure I'll get stuck cleaning a 30 X 30 litter box though. Where can I get a gas mask? LOL!

Don't take me too serious about blasting away in a basement, I'm sure the animal lovers would have you locked away for a very long time indeed. That would be a "ferrign" mess. LOL He could setup a computer hunting website for the kitties, but those have been banned. Nowadays you have to shoot things live, if you're going to shoot them at all. ;)

Boy, you aren't kidding! I have been lurking over at VideoHelp.com (which I linked to from here...) and I think all the "old-timers" went there because there isn't the cry, cry, complain, blame, I know better than thou, you don't know s..., and I came back here and landed with both feet in the middle.... I am exhausted!!!
I hope that this post will find everyone in a much better mood and just be happy that there is a whole world of knowledge (literally) at our fingertips (not just one person's "I'm God, I Rule") like sitting in a class with 1 teacher....we now have the whole world and I think that we should be thankful and use what works for us and repeat the knowledge that we have gained to others!
Thank you to all who have given their "valuable input", I appreciate each and everyone!!!

She's already done a cat movie. ;) The way she moved those hips in Catwoman, it almost threw my eyes out of the sockets. I'm glad she didn't break her hip. With those skin tight leathers, I bet she'd look great on the back of my cycle. I'm allowed to dream aren't I?
