Mother arrested in child sex, endangerment case
GRAYSON -- County and state law enforcement officers arrested a woman here today on suspicion of 12 counts of child endangerment and two counts of unlawful sex with a minor, all felonies. Anna J. Walker-Vogt, 35, is suspected of buying alcohol for a group of Patterson teenagers after a high school basketball game Jan. 19 and then forcing them to leave before about 3 a.m. Saturday when her husband -- an Atwater police officer -- was headed home after work. Witnesses said Walker-Vogt picked up a group of teenagers in her truck, then brought them to her house for a party to celebrate the homecoming of her 16-year-old son. The teenagers said they were forced to leave after drinking. A vehicle driven by one of the teens later crashed, injuring 11 of its 13 occupants.
At 4:50 p.m. today, a convoy of five Stanislaus County sheriff's car, five California Highway Patrol cruisers and five unmarked police vehicles drove to Walker-Vogt's home on Minnie Street. Wearing bulletproof vests and with guns drawn, they fanned out around the front of the home and began knocking on the front door. For 10 minutes, there was no answer.Sheriff's deputies were preparing to enter the home by force when Walker-Vogt's husband emerged from a side pass leading to the back yard.He spoke briefly with investigators and led them down the path onto his property into the backyard.
At 5:04 p.m., the front door opened and more than a dozen sheriff's and CHP investigators went inside. Sheriff's spokesman deputy Royjindar Singh said the family did not immediately open the door because "they said they were in the backyard and couldn't hear us."
At 5:28 p.m., Walker-Vogt's husband and three other family members walked out of the home, got into a pickup and drove off. Singh said they all were interviewed and allowed to leave.
At 6 p.m. investigators still were searching the home room by room, Singh said. Walker-Vogt remained inside. Singh said she is cooperating with investigators and will be booked into county jail tonight. In addition to the 14 felony counts, Walker-Vogt also faces six misdemeanor charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, Singh said. Teenagers at the party said Walker-Vogt bought them alcohol, then kicked the intoxicated teens out of the house just before 3 a.m. According to witnesses, Walker-Vogt ended the party and paid 18-year-old Robert Garcia Jr. $50 to drive the teenagers home. Garcia and his brother Christopher got into the front of a 1989 Toyota 4Runner and 11 teens piled into the bed of the vehicle. The vehicle, driven by Robert Garcia, swerved into the northbound lane of Highway 33 near Westley. Garcia said he overcorrected and the vehicle rolled -- ejecting the 11 teens in the back. The teenagers' injuries ranged from a fractured spine to neck wounds that required stitches. Garcia was arrested on suspicion of felony drunk driving, according to the California Highway Patrol. He was released on $25,000 bail.
According to witness statements, Walker-Vogt has held other parties at her house and provided alcohol to minors.

CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. ? Two packages containing human body parts ? including a liver and a partial head ? that were intended for a lab were delivered to a home instead, and officials say more than two dozen similar packages could be dispersed across the United States.
The body parts, sent from China, were mistakenly dropped off Thursday at Franck and Ludivine Larmande's home by a DHL driver who thought the bubble-wrapped items were pieces to a table.
"My husband started to unwrap one and said, 'This is strange, it looks like a liver,"' Ludivine Larmande told The Grand Rapids Press. "He started the second one, but stopped as soon as we saw the ear.
"Something wasn't right. It was scary, and I'm glad I didn't open them."
The body parts ? which are preserved ? were for medical research, police Lt. Roger Parent said.
"There will definitely be a shock to people if they see these things, but there is no hazard to health," Parent said.
The sheriff's department said Saturday it did not have any additional information about the case.
Two other packages headed to the lab broke open, scattering their contents.
The delivery company cooperated with investigators, DHL spokesman Robert Mints said. It is investigating whether it should have shipped the body parts and how the packages were dispersed.
"We certainly handle medical specimens, and we're trying to determine if the items shipped were permissible," Mints said. "It's not immediately clear what happened."

A US MAN has sued Microsoft because its operating system was so insecure the FBI could crack it and find his collection of sex videos.
Michael Alan Crooker said that he went to great lengths to keep his computer secure because it contained sexually explicit videos of him and his girlfriend, his medical records, family photographs, and emails between him and his laywers.
However when the FBI investigated him over a gun related charge they also seized his computer. Apparently they were able to access the files by making a mirror image of the hard drive.
Crooker purchased a Compaq Presario PC loaded with Windows XP, Internet Explorer, and several security utilities in 2002 at a Circuit City in Holyoke Massachusetts.
Crooker, has written in court papers that he "felt secure in Circuit City's claims of impenetrability and security", no really.
He wants Vole to pay $200,000 in compensatory and punitive damages. He said he had set Internet Explorer to delete his Internet history every five days. "Any day beyond those parameters is supposed to be permanently deleted and is not supposed to be recoverable," Crooker says in the lawsuit.
He also claims Compaq's DriveLock security system should have stopped the FBI from looking at his hard drive.

A man awaiting trial for alleged gun crimes is suing Microsoft for privacy violations after FBI agents seized his home computer during a raid and found files containing sexually explicit videos of him and his girlfriend and evidence that he frequented pornographic Web sites.
Michael Alan Crooker, currently in jail in Connecticut, says security features advertised by Microsoft and its business partners should have kept federal agents from accessing the files on his PC. In court papers filed this week in Massachusetts Superior Court, Crooker says he "suffered great embarrassment" as a result of Microsoft's failure to keep the FBI's prying eyes off his computer.
He is suing the software maker for $200,000 in compensatory and punitive damages.
Crooker purchased a Compaq Presario PC loaded with Windows XP, Internet Explorer, and several security utilities in 2002 at a Circuit City in Holyoke, Mass. Crooker, in court papers, says he "felt secure in Circuit City's claims of impenetrability and security."
Things took a turn, however, when Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agents raided Crooker's home in June 2004 as part of an investigation into the sale of an air rifle equipped with a silencer and seized his computer. Unable to crack the PC's security features, the agents sent it to the FBI's Cryptologic and Electronic Analysis unit, court records say.
At the FBI lab, agents were able to access Crooker's files by making a mirror image of the hard drive. Among the files, they found a video showing Crooker and his girlfriend having sex, his medical records, family photographs, and correspondence between Crooker and his attorneys. They also found Internet history files that showed Crooker's fondness for pornographic Web sites.
Crooker says he had set Internet Explorer to delete his Internet history every five days. "Any day beyond those parameters is supposed to be permanently deleted and is not supposed to be recoverable," Crooker says in the lawsuit. He also claims Compaq's DriveLock security system should have prevented the FBI from accessing his hard drive.

Its no secret what a complete and utter pig I am which is why none of my smut is encrypted. It's all stored in the folder called "Gee I wish I had a GF".
If I actually had naked videos of myself stored on my hard drive, every FBI guys that saw my nasty naked ass playing piggy with some broad would be scratching his eyes out, screaming in anguish and would probably require years of therapy to get those images out of his head. I'd definitely at some point in the filming back up to the camera and give a good "brown eye" closeup just to make sure no veiwer was left unscarred.

and floppys that are driving me nuts with family pixs..that i am trying to copy...from years ago..the pixs i wanted to show ye neph..are on the crap floppys..so far the floppys i put in rebooted my computer..

@Rav....LMAO! It can get really convoluted! Its a matter of federal law superceding state law. Happens all the time in the United States. For example, we just had this congressional scandal with this middle-aged politician who seemed to have a taste for young boys. Despite the scandal that forced him out of office, he could never have had criminal charges filed against him because the age of consent there is sixteen, yet, two miles away, in Virginia, the age of consent is 18 so what he did, had he done it there, would have been a sex crime of child molestation which would have landed him in the clink for years and force him to "register as a sex offender" wherever he lived for the rest of his life but because it wasn't in Virginia, albeit a stones throw away, he's innocent of the same crime. We had another incident here not long ago of this eighteen year old guy living with his sixteen year old girl friend but it was perfectly legal there, when he moved to PA where Ireland and I live, he was arrested and thrown into state prison on child molestation charges because the age of consent here is eighteen. It can affect everything from getting married, to sex crimes, driving laws, buying firearms in one state because you have a record in the other, import laws ... the list goes on and on. Its a rather large kink in our legal system.
Edit: I was just told that the age of consent here is also sixteen, so I screwed up one of my examples but my point is the same ... laws change from place to place and it can turn into a real mess sometimes.
