I am getting a un-fair number of bad burns resulting in dvd's freezing when attempting to play them, If I check the disk after burning with <DvdInfoPro> I get hundreds of bad read sectors...and sometimes none and sometimes a few at the end so that the disc is usable....could this be a media problem ? although I have tried a number of albeit cheaper products, any one any idea's..please
at peresent I am using ! well attempting to use <Datwrite 8x dvd-R and burning with an lg device. incidentally the files that I am burning from on my hard drive are fine,

Get rid of the cheap media, Get Sony, Verbatim, Maxell or Fuji preferablay made in Japan, except for the Verbs. Burn at 4x and check and see if your burner firmware needs to be updated. Since you have DVDInfo Pro check the burner current version and then go here and see if yours is current.

My thanks to Arniebear, I changed/updated firmware from A104 to A106 and hey presto No faults...........many thanks........
