You should edit your post and remove the Serial number at the top.

Enable your DMA as it is turned off. Here's how:

Last possible write address on media: 2298495 (510:46.45, 4489MB)
Last address to be written: 2286127 (508:01.52, 4465MB)
Adjust your target size to 4300mb so that you do not burn too close to the edge of your media. This can cause issues with lower grade media.

I also note a power calibration error statement.

See this thread: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/321620

Look to these items and try again.

Cheers.

Changing the target size:
To have shrink produce smaller files sizes to keep from burning too close to the disks outer edge. In shrink goto: edit-->preferences, in the preferences tab choose custom from the dropdown menu and enter a value of 4300.

Dump this media and your burner should be much happier. Try sony or verbatim disks.

You should go buy a good disc, ie. a verbatim or Taiyo Yuden and see if that makes a difference. I would just buy a couple singles, not a bunch. If you still have the failure to recognize the disc, your burner is probably crapping out on you.

I might suggest a BenQ DW1650 from Newegg. They are about $37.00 with $4.99 shipping and this is a top quality burner for relatively little money. You shouldn't have any trouble burning your 450 AML's with it.

Just a thought.

Go to your local store and see if you can get a 5 pack of Sony's 8x DVD+R disks (or Verbs), for the sonys, make sure you read on the container/packaging that they're made in Japan (stay away from anything made in Taiwan). Try burning to these disks and see if you're successful, there is a chance that the burner may also not recognize that media, that's why I would also suggest you check out the burner's website to see if they provide a list of tested media for that burner, worst case, send them an e-mail asking for a list.

If you can't get that burner to read anything, it's time for a new one.

Try this:
If you have a DVD decoder installed, the drive should be able to recognize and play that DVD, if it plays it, then it's obviously able to read the disk, so you should be able to at least use it to rip a DVD. If the drive won't play it because it's unable to recognize it, then it looks like it's time for a new drive.
