disc wont play?

Hey,
I had a film as an AVI file.

I used 'Cucusoft AVI to VCD/DVD/MPEG' to convert it into a .mpg file, then used Cucusoft 'MPEG to DVD Author' to create the Audio_TS and Video_TS folders. Then I used Nero 7 to burn onto a DVD5.

All of these processes seemed to be successful, and now when I try to play the DVD, my DVD player (and PS2) recognise the disc as a video DVD but then won't play it. Once when I tried it in my DVD player, it started about half an hour into the film and played sped-up, with jumps, and no audio. What did I do wrong? thanks

If you still have the AVI file, i would try and use VSO DivXtoDVD. Just have that running and let it do it's thing, no multitasking. I've used it a lot and pleased with the results.

Make sure you AVI files can be played normally,and the burned disc can be played in your computer.If they all OK,
the burned disc might not be compatible with your DVD player. Please visit
http://www.videohelp.com to find some information on how to make the disc compatible with your DVD player. For example, you can try to use other software to make a disk compatible with stand alone DVD player.
By the way,i used the WinAVI video converter,it can do that with wonderful result.You can have a try,
