v14 and swap magic?

i have the version 14 ps2 and instead of modding it with a solder chip i'm thinking of using a swap magic.However, apparently there isnt a version of swap magic that is compatible with the v14 now is there?every website says something different!!(eg. v1-v12(www.consolesource.com)compatible..or..v1-v14 compatible(www.modchip.com))Also, i want to use the flip top.can that be installed on a v14 just as a v12?


p.s- oh and is it true the boot success of the swap magic is much less than that of the dms4 lite chips?

basically all the stuff for the v12 works on the v14 except for hd connect. i have a v14 with swap magic 3.6 and a shell with built in flip top and all works fine. its just with swap magic you hafta make sure everything is burned to the cd/dvd-r correctly or it will not work.

about s.m. vs. dms4 i cant help ya there. sorry.

ok...lets say you are gonna put USBAdvance on a cd-r for instance...you can only find the .rar file on the internet so you hafta go through the process of getting the .elf file, the system file and the dummy.bin file and putting those 3 on cd-r because swap magic will not read the .rar file. i havent had a chance to get a "back-up" game running on swap magic as of yet, so i cant go into detail about that.

there are alot of posts on the topic of swap magic that can be found in the PS2 software boot discussion part of this forum.

explain to me this.does that little flip top square thing work for the v14 too?because i heard it doesnt.which magic keys should i get?i also heard that tool c never fits.anyone have an opinion on that?

yea it works. i had one on my v14 and it worked fine. i retired my v14 cause i can do more with my v7.
