Do you have DVD Decrypter? If you do, try deleting the files dvdfab made, running dvdecrypter, then using VOBBlanker. Make sure that you don't skip the Vob_3 file as thats your movie. Then once VOB is done, try shrink and burn with Nero. Or you could run the movie that dvdfab did through Vobblanker and make sure it doesn't skip the above file and then use shrink to compress and Nero to burn. Hope it helps. I sorta had the same prob and this fixed it.

Get vovblanker here:
http://members.aol.com/posunplugged/jsoto/VobBlanker_2100_exe.zip

On your HDD you should have a VIDEO_TS folder created by DVDFab decrypter, run vobblanker and....choose....

Input Video Manager (VIDEO_TS.IFO) selection:
Browse to the VIDEO_TS.IFO file in the VIDEO_TS folder created by DVDFab and choose it. Vobblanker will load the files and warn you that there are unsupported multiangles in VTS_03_*.VOB and will be skipped, just ok it.

VTS_03_*.VOB represents the main movie and should not be skipped, in the upper half of the window click on to highlight VTS_03_*.VOB and then click the "process" button on the right to change the action from skip to process.

With VTS_03_*.VOB highlighted, look at the bottom half of the window, you should see:

PGC#
01 Entry
02 Entry
03 Entry

The top entry (01 Entry) represents your movie, the other two need to be blanked.

Click on and highlight 02 Entry and click on the blank button on the right
Click on and highlight 03 Entry and click on the blank button on the right

Output Folder selection:
For output location just choose a folder to store the files vobblanker will create. I create a folder on my desktop and give it the name of the movie, I then create another folder within that one and name it VIDEO_TS (this is the folder you will direct vobblanker to store the files in).

example: c:\desktop\Chicken_Little\VIDEO_TS

Once all the selections have been made, press the big PROCESS button and wait unitl it's done.

When it's done open the new video files created by Vobblanker with DVD Shrink and proceed as you normally would.

No. Never heard that thing. Try bbmayo's site, he has all kinds of guides to walk you through and also has the software that goes along with it. Try this: http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/index.html

What is the size of the harddrive? Sounds like there isn't enough room for the approximately 6-8 gigs of files which will be ripped to the HD.

HP A350N P4 2.8ghz 180gig hd with 1.5gig PC3200 DDR ram. Plextor 712a DVD-R,CD-R,Rom w/Buffer underrun and lossless technology, Media Ritek DVD-R

Way ahead of me...

The process should of worked
If shrink gives an error that states "not enough space on target drive", shrink is trying to tell you that your hard drive is full (or close to it) and so there isn't enough space on it to put the files shrink will create.

Try and dump as may files as possible on your hard drive that you no longer need, get rid of any movies still on your hard drive that you have already made a backup of..etc...try and recover as much space as possible (at least 20GB).

DVDFab: approx 7GB
VOBblanker: approx 7GB
DVD shrink: approx 4.3GB

It appears that you're using vobblanker incorrectly.
Lets make it a little easier;

Run vobblanker and load the files produced by dvdfab as described, once they're loaded, look to the right of the window and find a button that states "Proc ALL" and click on it. By doing this all VTS_XX_.*VOBs will be processed and nothing will be skipped.

Choose your output folder, now press the big "PROCESS" button on the bottom of the window to begin the process and wait for vobblanker to finish.

Once done run shrink and open the new files, reauthor the DVD to backup just the main movie and 5.1 AC3 english audio channel.

Glad to hear it, enjoy the movie. I've already seen it way too many times to count with my daughter (to tell the truth, I enjoy watching it with her).

Happy burning
John.
