I am having problems with some back-ups crashing whilst playing them. One thing I have noticed is that they wont even load if I have been playing another game. The back-ups crash after 30 - 40mins and then wont re-load beacuse the PS2 has warmed up? Its only a selection of back-ups that do this.

Anybody else suffered this?

Swap magic 3.6
SCHP-750001
Back-ups are being supplied by a friend who uses the same methods everytime.

could it be that your system is overheating? if you have it in an enclosd space move it out and put it in the open see if that makes a difference.

NTSC DNAS threads.

I am having the same problem with my slim PS2. I have been burning with all different kinds of media at all speeds and the same thing happens. Long load times and eventually a crash. I am making a homemade slid tool for my old PS2. Maybe it's a problem with the slim version but I'll let you know.

Please do.
Do some games work and others not?

Sorry It took so long but I made a homemade slide card out of an old credit card. It took me about 10 min. to make. I have played just about every game I have ever had problems with using the slim PS2, and they all worked flawlessly on my regular PS2. On the worst games I played for a couple hours at a time just to make sure and I have not had one problem yet. No slow loading times. No games crashing. So I would guess that the slim PS2 is a slim peace of shit. Use the original. Make a slid card with the directions you can find on this forum. You will be happy with the results.

Just done a quick search and found that out.
Any ideas Stevepre1 on a solution other than swapping for a fat PS2?

Have you tried placing a fan next to the PS2, to see if that keeps it cool?

Sorry I'm a bit new at this myself. All I know is that my junky little slim PS2 wasn't working so I experimented with my old PS2 (fat PS2). I have asked about this before and I didn't get much feed back. So I don't know if there is hope for the slim PS2 and swap magic marriage. If you do have a (fat PS2) I would suggest, go in that direction. I was just as frustrated as you until I made this discovery. Now I have no problems playing my back ups. Good luck
