Hi! Im having a problem with Max Media Creater and I believe the same problem with Nero. Im trying to burn some files for my PS2. I think that neither of them are recognizing my burner. When I click to burn onto a cd from MMC, it says, "This item cannot be selected as no drives have been detected under this category". I had this exact same problem on my laptop. And when I go to burn using Nero, it has me save the Nero image somewhere, then it takes a half second to burn before it says comeplete. Under "choose recorder" on Nero it has one thing under device, that is Image Recorder, and under the adapter column it says virtual device. So I guess my question is, how do I get these programs to see my burner? Thanks for your time, sorry if this isnt in the correct section.

I too have this problem. But I don't use Nero. In MMC only specific drives can be detected. Go to http://www.codejunkies.com enter it and search for it by type drive detection or browse for it in the troubleshooting area. Look around and you should find a link to all drives that should be detectable. Even though my drive is in the list is still doesn't detect it. Also try updating MMC from their website to the latest version. If updating it doesn't work try and get Alcohol 120%. That should hopefully detect your drive.

If Alcohol 120% works then follow these steps to making media work with MMP (Max Media Player).

1. Build up a compilation of all the files you want on your MMP CD.

2. When done pres Save to File in the left hand corner of MMC right above where it says PS2 CD Roms. Then choose where you want to save your image.

3. When your image is created open up Alcohol 120% and click image burning wizard in the left hand corner of the screen.

4. When the wizard pops up click on browse and choose the image you just created.

5. When you've chosen the image press next and in the bottom left hand corner there should be a drop down menu. Scroll through the menu until you find where it says Play Station 2. NOTE: If you do not see this drop down menu it is probably because Alcohol showed a pop up saying it has detected a dvd drive and that you pressed yes to burn to a dvd. Make sure to press NO when that pop up shows up.

6. When you've clicked on Play Station 2 choose your speed to burn at. I reccomend either 4x, 8x, and at it's highest 16x. You do not need to go higher than 16x.

7. When your speed has been chosen click Start to start burning. Voila! You're done. Now take your disc out if not already and load up MMP then put in your newly created disc and play.

Sorry for making this so long. I tried to make it as clear as possible. Hope this helped you out.
