Can i use a laser from a Computer DVD rom in ps2??

can i replace my screwed laser of my ps2 and replace it from a laser which works well from a computer dvd rom drive which is not used rite now.. is it possible?? can some1 gimme a link to how to change the laser if its possible

I highly doubt it. You can't even put the wrong version PS2 laser type in there and get it to work.
