PSP 1% Signal strength HELP, PLEASE!!!!

Hi,

I'm having problems connecting to my wireless router with my PSP,
I know the SSID No. the WEP No.

I use the IPconfig command on the Start / Run to get my IP address, Subnet mask and Default Gateway.

I save the settings and test connection, it seems to connect but I only have 1% signal strength, I am beside my router.

I presently have my laptop downstairs connected wirelessly, not that that bears any relevance to the problems I'm having with my PSP.
