Does anyone know of a good way to make a PS2 portable? Perhaps there is a product out there that someone knows of that I dont... The only idea I had was to use a car battery and connect it to the ps2... then all I would need would be the screen. But the issue with that would be the lack of a good charge hold. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Where are you planning on going where you would play your PS2 away from any power source...

You could get a huge UPS for a computer or something. If you are using a slimline PS2 that would probably be better since they have less power draw. You would probably need to get like an 8in TV so that you could get maybe 2 hours of game time.

If you are going on a trip, just get a power inverter for your car. If you have a slimline, there are already car kits available that just plug into the cigarette lighter.

Well Im going on a bus, and buses usually dont have power sources. Taking it on planes would be cool, too. Any good sites to get the inverter for the cigarette lighter? (for the bulky ps2, not slim)

Here are a few that you can pick from... You shouldn't need anything more than 200w. I could also be wrong :\

There is a decent one there for like 30 bucks that is a 175w. That should work ok. BTW... I would feel like a complete moron if I went on a plane with a UPS, PS2 and TV. It would be pretty cool though. If you do it, take a few pictures of that.

Well thats why I thank god every day that somebody was smart enough to avoid bringing a tv by inventing a ps2 screen... It clips onto the ps2 itself, and is TOTALLY PORTABLE! But the battery part would probably be an issue...

Lol, I wouldn't be seen carrying a bulky PS2 lol because it look wierd some one is holding some big ps2 and playing it and everynes going, get a psp mate! Lol But to your question, you probally could make a battery but even if you could, it wouldn't last very long, because the PS2 uses alot of voltage, also thats very dangerous. Cause its a open power source
