I have a NTSC -J Japanese model PS2 (SCPH-50000), and need another memory card. My current memory card is a Hori 8MB unit I bought while in Japan.

My question is if a standard (US) Sony brand NTSC-US 8MB memory card will work with my Japanese PS2?!

I have been playing both american/japanese games with this modified console, and saving both to the Japanese memory card with no data issues.

Will I be able to do the same with a US card on a Japanese PS2?! Is there even any difference at all between a US memory card and a Japanese card?

I searched the forums first for this answer, but did not find anything.

Is there anyone else on this forum who owns a Japanese model PS2 and is using US memory cards?

THanks for the reply!....if a NTSC card works on a PAL system, then it looks like NTSC to NTSC shouldn't be a problem.

Anyone else have any experience(s) with interchanging memory cards/data between systems?!

The format should be the same. I have a US PS2 and I am able to store my JAP and PAL gamesaves on it without a problem.
