I know your question was posted quite some time ago...but here's the answer, in case someone else can benefit.
Choose MENU, then FUN & APPS. Next choose SOUNDS. If you want to delete the pre-programmed sounds you must enter the phone memory. (from sounds, chose menu----then "switch storage device" change it to phone). Once in the phone's memory, you can delete any pre-progrmmed sound that is NOT set as a ringtone for someone, and OF COURSE you can't delete the T-Mobile jingle. Simply scroll to the sound to be deleted. Once on it, push the menu button and then scroll to the delete choice.
I'm sure you've figured this out as well, but I've seen many questions about it so...... mp3's need to be placed in the AUDIO file on the transflash card to be used as ringtones. They also must be less than 30-50 secs. A good, free mp3 editor is WavePad. You can also add music via the data cable. Neither require motorola "phone tools" of any kind.

I played with my v360 all day the first day I had it and realized that if the phone doesn't give the choice you want with the soft keys, always give the menu key a try. Good luck to ya! Hope this helps someone out.

Now if anyone knows how to add downloaded games via the trans card let me know. I can get them on the card, but when I choose "install game" on the phone there's nothing from the trans card showing up. Anyone know which files from the game need to go in in which folder on the card? Already tried the "kjava" file. Thanks
