i have: ps2, ar2 disk, and mod chip don't know which. I have a hard drive installed in my ps2.
Q> I have installed 3 ps2 games on to my hard drive via winhip.a) burnout2. TT superbikes.moto gp 3 ( back up copies).how to i get the games to boot from the hard drive.
i use hd loader which lets me access the game titles but not of them will boot. what am i doing wrong. 2 full weekends on this and i am no nearer. Hope someone can help.

If you have a Modchip, why didn't you get that installed? Also you might need to boot it in a different mode if your using the Hard drive

the mod chip is installed. this is used with the ar2 disk. should i be able to boot the games straight from the ahard drive

If you have a modchip installed, you should be able to boot backups straight off (dvd in and power on)

sorry for being thick. what do you mean dvd in and power on. i take it u mean just put the backup game in the ps2 and power up. ( it doesn't work). i am not sure what modchip it is, but its about 7-8 years old.
What i have done in the past is boot with ar2 disk one, start without codes, put in backed up cd game, and bingo it boots no problem. cd's work not bother.
I dl a dvd game. tt superbike. but that will not boot using the above method.
So i have bought a hd, copied my ps2 dvd games to the harddrive via pc. but none of them will boot either from hd or dvd disk.Can you explain exactly what i need to boot from the hd and instruction s on how to do it. Thankyou very much for answering my questions sorry to be a pain in the A45e. I have been reading on forums for the last two weekends and just can't seem to make any sence of it.
So i would like to no either how to boot a dvd backup or how to boot from the hard drive or both.
