last when you buy anydvd,is it a year???

Once you buy it, you have it always. As long as you don't loose your key, or the company does not go out of business. I have had mine for over a year and still get all the updates.

When you buy slysoft will send you a confirmatin email that will include the site to dl your key generator file to unlock the program. Save this file to a floppy/flashdrive/disk so you don't loose it, you will not get another.

AnyDVD rocks! They continually update their software to handle newer encryptions. AnyDVD 5.9.5.1 is in Beta now...

Yup i'm thinking of buying in soon,,does it play nice with Nero

It plays very well with nero recode 2, which is similar to using DVD shrink to rip/transcode/and burn to disk.

Note: That version of nero (6.6.1.4) will not autoburn when used with DVD shrink (basically, the burn with nero option in DVD shrink will not operate with this version of nero). If you plan on using DVD shrink and want to autoburn with nero, you need to revert to version 6.6.0.18.

If you plan on reverting back to version 6.6.0.18, then you'll need to remove nero from your system using the general cleantool found here;

http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/General_CleanTool.html

Then install nero6 version 6.6.0.18 packages 1 and 2 (in that order), re-enter your nero serial# and your good.
