Hello everyone. I am having alot of problems with freezing at the end of the movies. I am using Anydvd Ver.5.9.4.1 and Clonedvd2 Ver.2.8.9.2
The media being used is TAIYO Yuden that I get for Supermediastore.com The last movie to do this is Derailed. I just don't know what the heck is going on with this. I checked Derailed on 2 DVD players and samething the last 3 chapters or is where it starts. Can anyone help with this problem?

Thank you
Randy K

it could be that you are burning to close to the edge of the disc, chenge the settings in clone dvd, at the bottom of clone dvd (near the middle) you will see the setting of DVD-5 change that to custom & set the file size to 4300MB also burn your movies at 1/2 the disc/buurner speed i.e 16X disc 16X burner burn at 8X.
see if this solves the problem.

@randykirk
Here's some things to try/do:
Make sure your burner firmware is up to date.

Set your target size from dvd-5 to custom then type in 4300.

Burn speed - make sure your not burning a max speed. If not burning at max then take it a notch lower. My rule of thumb for burning is 1/2 of what the burner supports as long as the media is rated at that speed.

@gil2002 - ya beat me :)

Then it looks like the problem could be the DVD players. Check their manual an make sure that they are designed to recognize and play the media and format your using (DVD+/-Rs). Newer players are pretty much designed to play all formats, try your backups in a friends player that is considered new and see what happens. If the backups play well, then you could try booktyping the disks as DVD-ROMs. Booktyping can only be applied to DVD+R media, your burner must also support the feature.

Here's some info on it;
