i have a ar2 disk and mod chip. ( but don't know which mod approx 8 years old). at the momoment i can play cd backup no problem using the following: Load ar2 disk 1 load game without codes change disk to back disk press x and the game loads. But this will not work with dvd back up what do i need to do???

well if it is a modchip that just stops it from reseting. Which by the method you are using i assume it is or your CD games would just boot up without AR2. Then you should get a set of Swap Magic 3.6 discs. They will have a CD & DVD version when you get them.
As long as the console doesn't reset when you press eject that would be all you need.

Hi Steimy
Thanks for getting back to me. I have another question which u may be able to ans. I have just fit an hard drive 120g to my ps2 in the hope that i could do away with swapping disks etc. I have put 3 games on the hard drive via winhip: 1 original & 2 backups they seem to have loaded on to the hard drive ok. But i can't get any of them to boot up. I use the same method as loading the cd games. i.e load ar2 disk 1 without codes then load hdloader, select the game then the screen goes blank. what am i doing wrong. Or should i give up with that and just buy a swap magic disk like u say. Please help.
