Are you getting this error message on the ripping or burning part of the program. If ripping make sure you have enough space on your HDD for the image file, close down any unecessary running programs and no internet surfing. If burning make sure you are not burning too fast, not familiar with this program but if you can set your write speed to 4x. Use decent media such as Sony, Verbatim, Fuji or Maxell. Check and make sure your burners firmware is up to date. Also, check the DVDCloner site for updates.

Is this a backup copy that you are trying to rip?
If so,give us some info from your disc you are trying to rip like brand name/format/speed rate of disc and how fast it was burned.

Or is it an original dvd with no encryption?

What size is that dvd? DVD-9 or DVD-5?

It's a whole different ballgame if you are trying to re-rip a backup copy.

Try using DVD Decrypter. You'll want to change a couple of settings:

Tools/settings/CSS- Set it to Brute force
Then click on the I/O tab and tick the box at lower right for Ignore all read errors/OK.

For DVD-5 to DVD-5 or DVD-9 to Dvd-9:

Then insert disc/open up dvd decrypter/Mode- ISO read/remember where those files go onto your harddrive/click the burn-harddrive icon.

Eject the disc that you ripped/insert blank/Mode ISO write/click the small folder icon on the top left/locate the mds files-not iso/open/set burn speed/click burn-harddrive icon.

For DVD-9 to Dvd-5: You'll have to rip in file mode and compress with DVD Shrink. Both DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter are free.

@mrbee

while i have used this program in the past, as this was the upgrade from the notoriously poor dvd cloner II, you could try to update your program as you have the very first version of it~ :) i would suggest using other much BETTER programs, namely the ones the other guys listed/suggested, but if you paid for it already, go here to update to the newest version which is 3.06 :)

http://www.dvd--copy.net/download.html

i have long since abandoned the dvd cloner II/III series as there were too many issues with both of them, but, if you insist on continuing, upgrading to 3.06 might prove helpful for ya~

docTY~

good luck
