Yes, even tho Datel sell two different version of wifi max, a ds and a psp version they will both be compatible, i think its just the software that comes with the pack. However the software is available to download on the net anyway.

Woah there, ok so the NINTENDO USB WIFI CONNECTOR WILL work?
i just dont get what u meant by

cause im waiting for my datel (psp+ds compatible) to arrive in the mail, but only now am i reading detailed user opinions that its crap!! apparently it doesnt finds the hotspot, but cant read the ip address or somethign liek that.
anyway im hoping for simplicity thats all i care about. so do you think i should stick with the datel or should i buy the ds one?
thanks.

Get the any they are the same, it might be hard to set it up initially alot of ppl have had problems but once its up and running they luv it.
After a while youll get used to it, and youll hopefully become a wifimax master, youve bought it already anyway.
Code: you mean adhoc over the net? if this is the case you want Xlink kai

no, not ad hoc online...i just mean regular online thru infrastructure.
It sucks to hear that others are having problems with Datel though. what kind of problems do they have?...anything like this: (scroll down
http://pgrevolution.com/2005/12/20/datel-wifi-max-for-psp/
i read on a review that as soon as u put in the installation cd it presents you with either PSP or DS settings and i dunno it sounds so simple..i hope i dont run ito problems.
but for the nintendo one, is the setup easy? and once you have it set up for ds, then do you have to do any "touchups" to make it work for psp? or just leave it at the DS "settings"?
thnx for quick replies! :p

yeah, just as i predicetd...there all IP timed out problems. but tell me soemthing...despide all the problems ppl are having with the Datel wifi max, ARE the actually people out there that have simply put in the installation cd, and just kept clicking "next" and got it right instantly withut doing and slight modifications?
also my other question i had asked was:
Quote: but for the nintendo one, is the setup easy? and once you have it set up for ds, then do you have to do any "touchups" to make it work for psp? or just leave it at the DS "settings"?

yes, there are ppl who it just worked for.
as for settings, im not sure. It says it can connect a few psps so that would mean it should be able to connect a ds as they both 802.11b

oops, maybe i was a bit unclear on my question. k, forget about the datel wifi max.
im talking about the nintendo ds USB wifi connector. now, lets say i have one ( and a ds) i install the drivers and whatnot, and then fine, itll work with the ds. now if i wanna use the psp with the nintendo ds wifi connector will it work just like that? or do i have to "tweak" things in order for the DS wifi connector to be able to be compatible with the psp.

sorry man i thought you were talking about wifi max, this is the first time anyones asked about the nintendo wifi adaptor.
However the way i see it, its just broadcasting a wifi signal so if you configure the ds to be connected with the adaptor then you should be able to connect the psp. Once again sorry for the misunderstanding
