I was wondering if it does anything one way or the other to go into say Dvd decrypter and slow the read speed down from max to say let 8x. I have my burn speed to half of my media. Just courious

I have no had any problems reading a DVD at max speed although on D/L DVD's my speed is about 9X and my DVD-Rom is a 16X. On DVD-5 reading will go up to 12-13X. If DVDD has a problem reading the disk it will automatically slow down to try the read.
