I've been backing up my dvd's using DVD Shrink and outputing them as ISO's. I would like to view them on my PC before I burn them, but I'm having a hard time getting an ISO to play on my PC. I've tried Media Player Classic and a few others with no success. Why is this so hard. Surely there's a simple solution here - I've got to be missing something. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Alcohol 120%, Daemon Tools, or Nero ImageDrive will all do the trick.
They are drive emulators. They will create a "Virtual Drive" that you can mount the ISO image to. Your computer thinks it is a disc in DVD-ROM drive, so that you can watch with your favorite media player!
Hai Yartster,
1. Search google for Daemon Tools.
2. Download it to your harddrive.
3. Install it and reboot the computer.
4. When you click on the icon, there will be a red coloured icon on the right bottom corner of the taskbar.
5. Right click and select Emulation > All options on.
6. The icon will now turn to green.
7. Now again right click and select virtual CD/DVD rom > Device 0, 1, 2 or 3 (Maximum 4 drives only)as per your choice and select mount image.
8. Browse window will open up and you can select your ISO file to play.
