So, theres a network adapter I want to buy on ebay. It says it comes with an ethernet cable. I have a spare ethernet slot on my computer so I could link the ethernet from the PS2 network adapter 2 my PC. What happens when I insert the cable into my PC? Will a Network Connection come up or something? I've posted a few threads on the PS2 hardware and software forums about PS2 HD, but no-one listens. Can someone plz reply?

i have never set up the connection on PS2, but have for Xbox. Usually you have to configure the PC's connection then set up the PS2 to use that connection by entering the DNS, Subnet mask, Default gateway and an IP Address that is one different than the PC. Meaning if the PC is 192.168.1.100 then you can set the PS2 to 192.168.1.101

For those of you who want to transfer backups to your PS2 through over a network, I made a guide for you. This thread is getting a little off topic... Enjoy :)
