I modded my XBOX, what jus HAPPENED?

Hi everyone, I decided to try softomodding my Xbox since I don't wanna buy any parts or anything, so I did the hotswap using xbhdm and ndure. Anyways, everything seemed ot be fine, I hotswapped, put it in my xbox and unleashX now loads. Sweet. I pout emulators and stuff etc, but when I try to access M$ dash, i get an error saying "Not found" so I'm like "uhhh ok".
Anyways, it turns out my entire C: on my xbox is empty. Im guessing xbhdm decided to wipe it when i was using it. This doesnt make much sense because I thought dashboards were run off of C:, but there is NOTHING in my c: drive. I can still boot up to unleash and play emulators etc.
So i have 2 questions:
1 - I like using XBMC, and want to use it as my primary dash - but the guide for setting it up as that assumes you are using you're c: drive to hold the other dash.
(note) This makes it harder since I don't know what the xbox is booting from (what file specifically)
2 - Is there anyway to fix my c: drive?

yes. download ms dash. Follow the link in my sig or click on my name. Then look for the "download xbox files" but do not click on it. Read under it there are 2 addresses. Copy the first one and paste on the address bar. You will ms dash right in you face. But you need to register to download. Then unrar it and ftp everything to C drive. Ms dash work now.

ok, question - if I install ms dash into C:, right now unleashx is booting from E: right? so if m$ goes into c:, will that become the new defualt boot dash when i turn on xbox? how will I integrate unleashx with the new ms dash install?

No. ms dash will not become a default dashboard.
To load ms dash from unleashm, open file manager, goto C drive and click on xboxdash.xbe

nope, nothing at all on it - i tried putting the dash i downloaded on (thanks return), but flashxp jus said "failed to trasnfer" so i ftp'd using IE and either i get an error message saying either i dont have access - wait i jus tried it, its askin me a password, i tried xbox and xbox (what i use to intially get on) but its not workin for the c drive specifically

OK - even if i cant get msdash on there, ill figure that out later - i managed to get xbmc as my default dash (replaced default.xbe the unleash one witht he xbmc one) and now xbmc boots first - yay. BUT - when i use file explorer now, apparently i now have a Q drive and its partitioned for about 4.5 GB <-- i cant see this drive when i ftp but its there in file explorer (it seems to have taken space from F drice since F was like 5gb free now 1 gb free) How do i fix this? as in how can i ftp to it OR putt hat space back in f?

ya i can boot into anythin runnin off me E: drive, jus nothin on the C: cuz its empty. But xbmc (which i made primary dash from E) went and amde a q drive i cant access and i jus deleted and cant recover so now i jus threw out 5 gb of space.

ok, managed to upload your m$dash download to the c: drive in my xbox. When i turn on my xbox, xbmc loads as usual.... then i can open m$dash!!! BUT.... while it works, when i attempt to play a xbox game (disc), the game runs except the controller wont work... so basically i cant play retail xbox games. also, for some reason the n64 emulator i have on my xbox is playing all slow framerate and crappy, possibly the same problem>?
