Which is better HDAdvance or HDLoader they both say they are better than the other, but which one actually works better. Do you need a fliptop for one but not the other? Do you need swap magic to play backups or do these allow you to play backup disks? I've been reading alot of the forums about these two but they are unclear about which is better. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Don't forget the DMS HDD Format Tool v1.1. I also would like to know the answer to this but from what I understand is you want a 48-Bit version reguardless otherwise you are limited to 120G or technically a 137G drive.

Hdadvance is a ripoff of hdloader. The hdloader project was shutdown i think by someone for legal reasons. The hdadvance people came along changed the background and started selling it again. HDadvance 3.0 which is the newest version is just HDloader 0.7c skinned, 0.7c is the memory card exploit version thats the most fully patched out. The only reason people buy HDA 3 is because its an original pressed game that will load with no mod. With hdloader you must first do a TOC refresh by changing to a large game (4.35gb) and then slide card/fliptoping it out for your copy. With hda you only need to slidecard/fliptop (no inserting another disc.

You only need to flip top or swap in hd advance if you are loading a back-up copy. With originals just load them in normally by using the eject button.
Seems to me HD loader had its day, being the 1st and all, but to use it now is more of a pain in the arse than HDA. You can't halt progress.
