I think october, the reason i say this is because thats when the gps, euetoy and other new items for psp are gonna come out. They cant have those new things without the update.

Also it looks like the new games will require 3.0 which is even more difficult to hack!!

well to tell you the truth i think that if you have already upgraded you have two choises

1)you can wait and see if there is going to be a downgrader for 2.1+

or

2)upgrade to 3.0 because there might not ever be a downgrader for 2.1, 2.5, or (2.6)<--which i have at the moment.

the thing is is that there are a lot of things that you can still do to a 2.1-2.6 psp. while using GTA of course, but there might be a down time from where we wont be able to play homebrews on a 3.0.

but still if you are getting new equipment, like im going to get the psp keyboard. then you are going to have to upgrade for that.

unless we get in real quick and fix it to where we can use GTA to get to using the eyetoy or the keyboard.
