I wanted to know what you guys think of this program. I currently use DVD Shrink with AnyDVD. I was thinking about getting CloneDVD2, but I donwlonaed the trial version and it seemed more complicated then DVD Shrink.

It's easy once you get used to it. The only thing I don't like about CloneDVD2 is that you can't adjust the compression setting. It automatically adjusts the compression for everything. Other than that, it is a very good program.

I too use Clone DVD2 along with Any DVD. The 2 together can't be beat. I have yet to come accross a disc that couldn't be backed up. Rather than rip with one program, shrink with another & burn with a third, Clone DV2 does it all, in less time. I still have all the freebie stuff on my desk-top, but use Clone DVD2 95% of the time. I also agree the only downfall of the program is not being able to adjust the compression. When I come accross a movie such as King Kong or Nirnia which is longer than the typical 1:45 movie, I use good ol' reliable DVD Shrink which in my opinion, yeilds a better copy.

When I use DVD Shrink, I take off all the foreign languages and subtitles. I also move the compression % as low as it goes and the extras and menu. Will I be able to do that with CloneDVD2? Also does it take alot less time?

Yes, you can take those out. It should take you less time beacause as your ripping with Clone DVD2, it's compressing it at the same. The amount of time it takes you depends on your processor & memory. For me for step 1, ripping & compressing about 12 minutes, burning about 9. I can completely copy a disc anywhere between 21-25 minutes.
